Listen to this week’s message:
As poet Emily Dickinson said, “We turn not older with years, but newer every day.”
How alive are you? Some people are more youthful as the years go by while others succumb to society’s expectations of a steady decline as you “get old.” Genes certainly can affect your outward appearance, but from research and my own observations the difference in innate energy as you age really seems to come down to three things: mental attitude, health habits and social connection. As each birthday comes, be born anew. Do an assessment of the key areas of your life and decide where you want to evolve. Focus on getting to know yourself better and better. Take all of the knowledge and experiences you have accumulated to propel you forward. Have a growth mindset, always seeking to learn. Commit to a lifestyle that supports longevity—from what you eat to how much you sleep. Spend the majority of your time with people you love and doing things that bring you joy. Systematically let go of energy-drainers. Life is too precious to waste so take it all in with wonder and gratitude. Anticipate that the best is yet to come as you grow younger and wiser.
Until next time, remember-it’s your divine life, live it to the fullest. The power is in your hands!
With Purpose & Power,
Terri
