As Stewart Udall said, “Cherish sunsets, wild creatures and wild places. Have a love affair with the wonder and beauty of the earth.”

How present are you with life? The world offers us a feast for the senses – the smell of fresh flowers, the sound of birds chirping and the sight of the sun rising. We get free admission to the greatest show on earth every day. Instead of simply being beautiful, these soulful delights have now been shown to be good for your health. A University of California, Berkeley, study has linked positive emotions – especially the awe we feel when touched by the beauty of nature, art and spirituality – with an anti-inflammatory effect on the body. So, live in awe. If your knees are aching or arthritis is flaring up, go outside. Surround yourself by nature, immerse yourself in music and behold art from the ages. All of these things can give you a boost. Take on the wonder of a child and you will increase your joy and possibly extend your life!

Until next time, remember – it’s your divine life, live it to the fullest. The power is in your hands!

With Purpose & Power,

Terri
