Listen to this week’s message:
As Marcel Proust said, “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
What have you discovered today? As an American born in Ghana, I received my first passport when I was six weeks old and lived on three continents by the time I was four. I always have a bag packed and can be ready to go in short order. It’s exciting to travel to far away lands for new vistas and adventures. However, one thing I realized in practicing and teaching mindfulness is that there is a lot to unearth without getting on a plane. Every day, have new eyes. Become a “present moment” explorer. Experience your surroundings by slowing down and taking in the sights, sounds and smells. Consciously boost your awareness by deliberately paying attention. Listen intently to those around you. Take off the filters of knowledge and judgment. Simply be with what is. Go on a daily journey to notice life. As you hone your inner compass, you will learn more about yourself, deepen connections and witness a whole new world right where you are.
Until next time, remember-it’s your divine life, live it to the fullest. The power is in your hands!
With Purpose & Power,
Terri
