As Joseph Campbell said, “A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.”

What is your contribution? There are obvious career heroes such as our men and women in the military who sacrifice so much to serve our country. Some pay with their lives and others come home with scars unseen. There are those who protect us in our communities such as police officers and firemen. They are ready to risk their own safety on a daily basis. There are chance heroes we hear of in the news who call up courage in a crisis to aid a stranger. Then, there are unsung heroes like teachers and nurses who help us grow and heal often without much credit. They are all demonstrating a sense of humanity–acknowledging our collective journey. Be a hero by making a conscious contribution to bettering our world. Choose to make a difference. Share your knowledge by mentoring. Donate financially to scale what is already working. Step in if you see someone needs help. Most of all, be mission-driven versus recognition-hungry. Have a giving spirit and do good simply because it feels good as a global citizen.

Until next time, remember-it’s your divine life, live it to the fullest. The power is in your hands!

With Purpose & Power,

Terri
