IMAGINATION. How much do you dream? Can you envision your possibilities? Are you using your imagination to empower your life? When I was five years old, I ran the “Gal’s Club.” It was an exercise club that consisted of three members: Mom, my sister and me. It was exclusive to girls, so I didn’t invite my brother and Dad (“gal” was my version of “girl” which came from my initial schooling in Australia). I even created membership cards and established rules – maybe that’s why one of my kindergarten classmates gave me the nickname “boss lady”. I was set on making sure we were healthy and fit, and I enjoyed being in charge.

Social Venture Network Conference Fall 2009
From October 22nd through 25th, I participated in the SVN Fall 2009 Conference at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa in California. I also taught a yoga class. The Social Venture Network brings together the pioneers of socially-conscious business to collaborate and connect in order to transform the way the world does business. My sister, Sheila Kennedy Bryant, joined me. I must thank Ed Dugger from UNC Ventures for inviting me again, and Deb Nelson, SVN’s Executive Director, for welcoming me back. I joined SVN in 2002 as an “Emerging Entrepreneur.”

THE BUZZ… After the morning yoga class today at the Ta Yoga House, I led a stress management/healthy living session for the “Women’s Wellness Workshop” at Harden Memorial CME Church in the Bronx. The fundraising event was coordinated by the Young Adult Council at the church and a portion of the proceeds were donated to…
