I was delighted to speak at the Womensphere Emerging Leaders Global Summit in New York. As many Womensphere gatherings, this event focused on accelerating gender parity and advancing women in leadership and innovation in the workplace and society. There was a special emphasis on the Global Goals for Sustainable Development–a set of 17 goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all.

THE BUZZ: From September 5th through 16th, 2014, I was in Beijing for the Young Global Leader (YGL) Summit and Tianjin for the World Economic Forum on East Asia. Then, I had the immense pleasure of traveling with a small group – on a private jet – to Japan. Tuning In To Peace Within
POWER LIVING TV: In Power Living® with Dr. Terri Kennedy, we continue to be inspired by (now) 93-year-old activist, model, film star, wine connoisseur, yoga master and award-winning ballroom dancer, Tao Porchon-Lynch. She shares her thoughts on creating peace within from the opening panel of the Newark Peace Education Summit which took place from May 13 – 15, 2011. The Peace Within Panel also included Nobel Laureate His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama, Nobel Laureate Shirin Ebadi, Nobel Laureate Jody Williams, Deepak Chopra MD, Roshi Joan Halifax, Rabbi Michael Lerner, Wilbert Rideau and youth representative Mahishan Gnanaseharan. The panel was moderated by Robert Thurman, Ph.D.
5th Annual NAACP Leadership 500 Summit
From May 21st through May 24th, 2009, I participated in the 5th Annual NAACP Leadership 500 Summit entitled “Ensuring our Legacy” at the Phoenician Hotel and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. I spoke on the Summit General Session panel entitled, “Let’s Stay Together: Maintaining Family Connectedness in Tough Economic Times” moderated by Hazel N. Dukes. I also taught morning yoga classes.
