Dancing Light Wins 2016 IPPY Award!!!
New York, NY, April 13, 2016 – 97-year-old yoga master Tao Porchon-Lynch can add another accolade to her name, “award-winning author,” demonstrating once again that it is never too late to realize your dreams. Her book, Dancing Light: The Spiritual Side of Being Through the Eyes of a Modern Yoga Master, tied for a Silver Medal in the Autobiography/Memoir II (Coming of Age/Family Legacy/Travel) National Category for the 2016 Independent Publisher Book Awards.

THE BUZZ: On Saturday, December 6, 2014, I was delighted to be the moderator for the Harlem Go Red for Women Educational Forum’s Media Panel held at My Image Studios – MIST Harlem. which featured Dr. Bob Lee from WBLS, Toya Beasley from Radio 103.9. Our Mistress of Ceremony for the day was Arthel Neville from Fox News.
First Annual Silicon Harlem Conference
THE BUZZ: On October 16, 2014, I attended the First Annual Silicon Harlem Conference. Silicon Harlem is focused on transforming Harlem into a technology and innovation hub. The event brought together Harlem’s own leaders such as Congressman Charles Rangel (U.S. Representative for New York’s 13th Congressional District) and Gale Brewer (Manhattan Borough President) as well as other national influencers such as Dr. Frances Colon (Deputy Science and Technology Advisor to the Secretary of State).

THE BUZZ: On November 5th, 2011, I hosted a yoga workshop at the Dwyer Cultural Center in Harlem with Tao Porchon-Lynch – my inspiration and 93-year-old master yoga teacher. It was Tao’s first time in Harlem and it will certainly not be her last. She connected with the community and they connected with her spirit.
