As country music singer Jimmy Dean said, “I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.”

How adaptable are you? What you do in moments of change can alter your fate. A great example in business is Kodak. Digital photography – a technology that a Kodak engineer invented – disrupted their film-based business model and they didn’t shift their strategy in time. They had a ten-year window of opportunity to recalibrate, but they dragged their heels and eventually had to file bankruptcy. This similar dynamic can happen in your own life. If things around you are changing, adjust your sails. Let go of your preconceived path. If you hold on too tight to your original plan, you may miss the mark all together. Be open to different ways to achieve your goals. Keep sight of your overarching vision as you do a personal pivot. That new route may take you on an awesome adventure leading you to more joy, abundance and fulfillment than you could ever have imagined.

Until next time, remember – it’s your divine life, live it to the fullest. The power is in your hands!

With Purpose & Power,
