As President Barack Obama said: “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
What change do you want to be? It’s easy to see issues and complain about them – to basically “pass the buck.” Instead of simply wishing for things to be different in the world or your personal sphere, do something. Don’t wait for someone else to lead. Be the one. Make a statement with your life. Share your gifts. If you believe you can make a difference, you can. It’s in the decisions you make every day – how you act, what you purchase, who you inspire. Show up fully and be a walking example of what you want to see. Each decision you make affects the whole. You can transform your family, your school, your organization, your community, your environment by being a role model, by speaking up for what is right, by being mindful of your choices and by simply getting involved. The power of one is the power to inspire many and start a chain reaction of good.
