In addition, I gave a talk about my dear teacher, 99-year-old yoga master Tao Porchon-Lynch. READ MORE AND VIEW PICTURES.

Sometimes the weight of life can seem heavy. You can either be crushed by it or learn how to carry the load. In the fall of 2016, I was traveling non-stop for my work with yoga master Tao Porchon-Lynch. At now almost 100 years old, she shows us how to live with vitality regardless of age. Dancing Light, the book we co-wrote (along with my mom Janie Sykes-Kennedy) won ten awards, and then Tao and I were featured in Athleta’s Power of She campaign. It’s been an exciting time. However, I’ve been experiencing a very strange dichotomy. In between amplifying Tao’s light, I have been fighting extreme darkness in the sunny state of Florida.
THE BUZZ: On February 28th and March 2nd, 2013, I spoke at the 8th Annual Black Enterprise Women of Power Summit at the beautiful Waldorf Astoria in Orlando, Florida. The event catered to executive women of color and provided an opportunity to connect, and get expert advice from today’s leading female executives and decision makers.
THE BUZZ: On November 24th, 2011, I was back in Jamaica this time serving as a keynote for the Jamaica Customer Service Association Conference in Kingston. Customer service is a national priority in Jamaica’s Vision 2030 Plan. Their goal is for Jamaica to be the choice place to live, work, raise a family and do business. Since the talk was on Thanksgiving, my family joined me for a holiday in Montego Bay.
