As Og Mandino said, “Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough.”

How much grit do you have? Grit has become a popular term in psychology lately to represent passion for a particular long-term goal coupled with perseverance in achieving that objective. Psychologist Angela Duckworth says it is the most important predictor of success, and can trump talent and IQ. In her TED Talk and book, she emphasizes that we can actively enhance our grit. So, be determined to succeed. Believe in yourself and your dreams. Allow challenges to build your resilience. View failure as a stepping stone and not a character flaw or permanent situation. It is simply a means to gather information. If something doesn’t turn out the way you intended, that experience can refine your thinking and fuel greater innovation. As you navigate your path, you may have to remove pebbles from your shoes, dig deeper or shift direction. Regardless, wipe the sweat off your brow, refocus on your overarching vision and keep on walking!

Until next time, remember-it’s your divine life, live it to the fullest. The power is in your hands!

With Purpose & Power,
