As author Louisa May Alcott said, “I’m not afraid of storms, for I’m learning to sail my ship.”

How well do you know yourself? The longer you live the more you realize that life is not always smooth sailing. One moment you’re cruising along and then the wind shifts. The person you love wants to leave. The job you count on goes away. A health diagnosis hits. The one thing for sure is that storms will come. The key is to learn to sail your ship. Think of your mind, body and spirit as your equipment. Take time to understand yourself. Recognize what gets you in a rut. Know how you deal with crisis. Clean the deck of any habits that might hold you back. Identify your “A” team. Practice mindfulness and stress management techniques to build resilience. Develop a toolkit of tactics that have helped you succeed in the past. When the next storm comes, you will have the strategy, strength and support to more fearlessly and skillfully navigate the rough waters.

Until next time, remember – it’s your divine life, live it to the fullest. The power is in your hands!

With Purpose & Power,
