THE BUZZ: On Saturday, September 15th, 2012, I participated in the Global Shapers Conference in New York. I spoke about the importance of personal energy management for leaders (a module we call “Protecting the Asset”) – a key pillar of the Power Living System. I then taught a yoga class in Central Park while some of the Shapers went running.
Fifty percent of the world’s population is under the age of 27, the majority of whom live in urban areas. With this in mind, we are becoming increasingly aware that solutions to our global challenges must purposefully engage youth, at all levels – locally, regionally, nationally and globally.
The Global Shapers Community is a community of young people in their 20s established by the World Economic Forum. It provides youth with a global platform to shape the future – integrating the personal, community and global dimension. This conference brought the Shapers from around the world together for the first time.
