Today was our first day holding the Level 1A Ta Yoga Course at the HOPE Center in Harlem at Frederick Douglass Blvd and 134th Street. The course was so popular, we had to find bigger space! It was such a pleasure to see the room full of women committed to being healthy.
The practice is a catalyst for transformation. One woman, who started taking Ta Yoga a month ago, has already lost weight and shifted her diet. She’s about to embark on the Seven-Day PWR Detox this week. We have a couple of ladies from Abyssinian Baptist Church – including the First Lady. Some of the employees from HOPE Center will also be joining.
Operation HOPE is a pioneer in economic empowerment. The HOPE Center in Harlem recognizes that the ability to manage stress is closely tied to the ability to make good financial and life decisions. We are delighted to expand their personal empowerment offerings. I must thank Reggie, Theresa, Yvette and Lance… and, of course, Chairman John Hope Bryant (who, in full disclosure, is my brother-in-law). They pulled together to make this happen so quickly.
The Level 1A course runs on Mondays from 7pm – 9pm and you can still join the class. Go to the Ta Yoga site to find out more.
With Purpose & Power,
Terri
