Down the Wire

Friday * January 4, 2008
MAIN MUSINGS: I’m headed out (literally in 2 minutes!) to participate in the NYC Ministers’ Wives Retreat sponsored by the American Heart Association. The event brings together the First Ladies/wives of some of the most prominent preachers in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx. I’m leading a number of the sessions – 3 hours total on various topics ranging from Stress Management, Life Purpose, Nutrition and more. I received the final agenda just a couple of days ago, so I was up rather late preparing. I decided to whip up a Powerpoint presentation to make it more visual (particularly the food segment). I always like to tailor my talks to the specific audience so it’s absolutely relevant.

I used to get stressed out when I was down the wire and had to pull together presentations last minute. Now, however, I’ve done so many that I stop at a certain point and recite my favorite breath prayer:

God in me, acting through me, is my guarantee of success!!

With that power, it has to be wonderful! When you’re down the wire with something – a client presentation, planning an event for work or a party for your kids, whatever you have chosen to do – remind yourself of your own greatness. Remember where your power comes from. Get some sleep. Get your Self together so you can have a clear mind. Relax, and take a breath. When you are receptive (to divine inspirations), you will be most effective. It’s really not you doing the work. Your only work is to remove the blocks to your flow by managing your total energy/PWR®… more on that later! In the meantime, have a great Friday evening. I’ll be chatting and relaxing with the ladies. :)

With Purpose & Power,

Terri
